Archify is an agent skill that turns an idea, a plan or a codebase into an interactive diagram with a built-in viewer. It installs with npx skills into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and other agents.

Pros & cons

Each point cites its sources and says what kind of evidence backs it. A second reviewer tried to refute every claim before it was kept.

Pros

  • DocsTurns a one-sentence description or a repo read into a single interactive HTML diagram or explainer file with light/dark themes.[1]
  • DocsExplainer claims cite numbered sources and repository excerpts are pinned to a commit, which makes generated architecture claims checkable.[1]
  • MetadataApache-2.0, about 91k stars, and commits as of 2026-10-29.[1]

Cons

  • User reportsIt is not published to the npm registry (an open request asks for it), so installs and version pinning go through the `skills` installer or a ZIP.[1]
  • User reportsOpen bug reports show diagrams that pass its own validation while rendering wrong, such as anti-parallel connectors drawn as one line and non-members placed inside boundary frames.[1][2]
  • User reportsValidation failed on large workflows because the checker report exceeded spawnSync's 1 MiB buffer (since closed).[1]
  • MetadataYoung project (created April 2026) with about 135 open issues, and the README leads with sponsor banners that use affiliate-tagged links.[1]
Best for
Engineers who want an agent to produce shareable, interactive architecture or explainer pages from a prompt or a codebase.
Watch out for
Treat its "validated" status as a layout check, not proof the diagram is correct; review edges and boundaries by eye.
