ECC

Agent harness performance optimization system: skills, instincts, memory and security for coding agents.

ECC is an MIT-licensed set of agents, skills, hooks, rules, memory and continuous-learning workflows that it installs into coding-agent harnesses. Its loop is plan, test, implement, review, verify, remember, improve. It works best with Claude Code and has native plugin paths for Codex and Qoder. For Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Zed, Copilot and others it offers adapters with fewer capabilities. The README lists 71 agents and 311 skills, plus AgentShield, a security scanner for agent configurations. ecc.tools also sells a paid GitHub App tier at $19 per seat per month and an enterprise tier.

Pros & cons

Each point cites its sources and says what kind of evidence backs it. A second reviewer tried to refute every claim before it was kept.

Pros

  • DocsVery large catalog: 71 agents, 311 skills, hooks, rules, memory, continuous learning and the AgentShield security scanner.[1]
  • DocsNative plugin paths for Claude Code, Codex and Qoder, with a guided setup that pins the matching npm release.[1]
  • User reportsOne analysis of trending skill packs calls its AgentShield security scanner for skill files a real product, even though the skills themselves are easy to copy.[1]
  • MetadataMIT, with about 292k stars and 43k forks.[1]

Cons

  • DocsAdapters for Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Zed, Copilot and others are explicitly capability-limited; it works best with Claude Code.[1]
  • User reportsThe same project is published as both everything-claude-code and ECC, which splits stars and links across two repos.[1]
  • DocsThe README warns that third-party re-uploads may contain malware and that a version pin is not a security audit or integrity check.[1]
  • User reportsCommenters advise keeping only the few skills you actually use rather than a 300-skill catalog.[1]
Best for
Claude Code power users who want a ready-made, comprehensive plan-test-review-verify system plus skill security scanning.
Watch out for
Install selectively; a 300-skill catalog adds context and surface area you may not need.
