Kiro

AWS's spec-driven agentic IDE, CLI and autonomous cloud agent.

Kiro is an agentic AI coding tool built and operated by AWS that helps developers plan, build and review software. Its spec-driven workflow turns prompts into requirements, architectural designs and sequenced tasks before code is written, then implements them with parallel agents. Hooks run background tasks such as adding tests or updating docs when code changes, and steering files carry project context across surfaces. Kiro ships as an IDE, a CLI that can run headless in CI/CD, Kiro Web with an autonomous mode running in isolated cloud sandboxes, a mobile app, and Kiro Crew, an open-source workspace.
