CowAgent, previously named chatgpt-on-wechat, is an MIT-licensed personal AI assistant that calls itself a complete agent harness. Messages arrive through channels such as the web and major IM platforms. An agent core then plans and reasons over memory, a knowledge base, tools and skills, and replies through the same channel. It can control the computer and external services, create and run skills, form multi-agent teams and evolve its long-term memory. It runs 24/7 on a PC or server, deploys via a one-line installer or Docker, has a web console, and is managed with the cow CLI.
