CC Switch is an MIT-licensed Tauri 2 desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. It manages configuration for a dozen agent harnesses: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Pi, MiniMax Code, Kimi Code and Oh My Pi. It switches API providers in one click from 90+ presets and changes only the endpoint, key and model. MCP servers and skills are managed centrally and synced to selected tools. A local routing mode does format conversion and failover, and the app also shows session logs and tracks usage and quota.

Pros & cons

Each point cites its sources and says what kind of evidence backs it. A second reviewer tried to refute every claim before it was kept.

Pros

  • DocsOne desktop app manages providers, MCP servers, skills and prompts for about a dozen tools (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Hermes and more), with 90+ provider presets.[1]
  • DocsSwitching replaces only endpoint, key and model, leaving plugins, hooks, MCP and comments in your configs untouched.[1]
  • DocsOffers direct, routing or aggregation modes, and turns each tool's session logs into readable views alongside token and spend tracking.[1]
  • MetadataCross-platform Tauri 2 app, MIT, about 150k stars and frequent releases (v4.0.21 on 2026-10-26).[1]

Cons

  • DocsThe README carries sponsor ads for third-party API relays advertising Claude Code at '38% of original price'; such resellers see your prompts and keys and may breach provider terms.[1]
  • User reportsMore than 600 open issues; past heavily discussed ones include Claude still asking for login after a custom base URL was set (2025) and API 400 errors with DeepSeek v4 Pro (May 2026).[1][2][3]
  • DocsOn Linux it needs glibc 2.35+ and WebKitGTK 4.1, and RHEL/Rocky/Alma 8-9 are not supported.[1]
Best for
Developers who rotate between many model providers across several coding CLIs and are tired of hand-editing configs.
Watch out for
Use official endpoints or relays you trust; the promoted discount relays are third parties that see your traffic.
