Bernstein is an open-source governance layer for AI coding agents. It runs CLI agents in parallel git worktrees and merges only diffs that pass lint, type and test gates. A deterministic scheduler decides what runs, with no model in that loop. It enforces policy as code and keeps an HMAC-chained audit log and Ed25519-signed run receipts. The site cites 40+ agent adapters, including Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI, and says it is beta software built by one maintainer.
