Agentgateway is a Rust proxy built on AI-native protocols (MCP and A2A) that adds security, observability and governance to agent traffic. It works as an LLM gateway with a unified OpenAI-compatible API, budgets, load balancing and failover; an MCP gateway with tool federation, multiple transports, OpenAPI integration and OAuth; and an A2A gateway. It also offers Kubernetes inference routing, layered guardrails, JWT/OAuth auth, CEL-based RBAC, rate limiting and OpenTelemetry metrics. Its site lists contributors including Solo.io, Microsoft, AWS and Cisco.
