Katanemo (Plano)

Plano: AI-native proxy and data plane for agentic apps.

Katanemo develops Plano, an open-source (Apache-2.0) AI-native proxy server and data plane for agentic applications, built on Envoy and written in Rust. Plano moves delivery concerns out of application code into an out-of-process data plane: low-latency routing and orchestration between agents, LLM routing by model name, alias or preferences, zero-code capture of 'Agentic Signals' plus OpenTelemetry traces and metrics, and filter chains for jailbreak protection, moderation and memory hooks. It works with any language or agent framework.

The de-facto standard toolkit for building LLM applications and agents.

LangChain makes the LangChain framework and LangGraph, the low-level orchestration standard for stateful, controllable agents, plus the LangSmith platform for tracing, evaluating and monitoring them in production.

Serverless cloud built for AI and agentic compute.

Modal lets teams run inference, fine-tuning and arbitrary agent workloads as serverless Python without managing infrastructure — a common substrate for harness backends at scale.

Durable execution for long-running agent workflows.

Temporal's durable execution engine is widely adopted to make agent pipelines reliable: state survives crashes, retries are automatic, and workflows run for minutes or months. A key piece of serious harness infrastructure.
