Open-source runtime for colonies of agents doing business work.
Hive, by Aden, describes itself as a multi-agent harness for production AI and an open-source runtime for 'colonies' of AI agents. A long-lived 'queen' agent with a role, memory and tools does the first piece of a task itself, saves the method as a reusable skill, then fans the rest out to parallel worker agents. Results land in a shared tracker (a SQLite table) that can be queried, audited and resumed, so progress is kept on disk rather than in a context window. No workflow graph is drawn up front. Requires Python 3.11+ and Node.js 20+.
